Kristopher Everett Krava (b. 1976) is a self-taught figurative oil painter based in Atlanta, Georgia. His work centers on intimacy, resilience, and vulnerability, built primarily through collaborations with live models. Using bold brushwork and dynamic light, he captures fleeting gestures and overlooked moments where honesty, strength, and fragility sit together.

Krava came to painting after nearly three decades in strategic design, shaping digital experiences for global audiences. In 2021 he turned to oil, a medium that once intimidated him and that he has since embraced for its richness, color, and texture. A cancer diagnosis in 2023 became a catalyst, pushing him to lean into his practice with urgency and clarity. During treatment he painted prolifically, several works a month, finding in art both healing and renewed purpose.

In 2026 he took second place in Artful ATL at Atlanta Contemporary, juried by Dr. Fahamu Pècou and Lauren Jackson Harris, and first place People's Choice in Faces & Figures at The Scene Art Gallery. He has twice exhibited at ArtFields in Lake City, South Carolina, one of the Southeast's most prestigious competitions, and his work has shown at Echo Contemporary, Gallery 992, and ART Station, along with multiple Portrait Society of Atlanta exhibitions and artist talks. His paintings are held in private collections.

With his cancer now in remission, he approaches each canvas with gratitude, seeing painting as a way to honor life, deepen connection, and share stories of human resilience.
